My ER Experience

I knew something wasn't right the whole entire day. I kept on telling my husband that something was wrong with me. I ended up sleeping most of the day and only eating about 3 bites of food. Finally, around 10:30pm, I decided to take a hot bath because my whole entire body was aching. After brushing my teeth, I ended up throwing up and then suddenly collapsing.

My  husband was banging on the door calling for me, I somehow rose and opened the door. He asked what I was doing and if I was okay, I replied to him stating that I was just simply taking a nap on the ground (who takes a nap on the bathroom floor lol). I then told him that I wasn't feel so good and ended up collapsing again.

He called 911. I had no idea what was going on, I remember thinking to myself, am I drowning in the bath? Where am I? The firefighters ended up taking down my door because they could not get me out of the bathroom. They carried me in the most awkward position to my couch to take my vitals. My amazing neighbors and my husband stayed with me the whole night at the hospital.

DURING this whole thing, because I had no idea what was going on with me, I couldn't move, I couldn't speak and my whole body felt heavy. I just thought the name Jesus and repeated in my head, Jesus you are my God, heal me, save me, protect me, Jesus, Jesus help me.

Jesus, God of heaven and earth, just uttering his name kept me calm and I KNEW everything was going to be okay. Despite the chaos around me, all the people around me, I knew HE was right beside me watching over his daughter, watching over me, keeping me.

No matter the situation, whether good or bad, whether you ask or not, Jesus is there. Jesus will always be there, HE is everywhere. He knows where your going, what will happen, and why. Something always happens for a reason and I am happy to say, Jesus was there for me that day!

He is...

Anthony and I are both majoring in Economics and absolutely love it! I am so happy and proud of him! He started school in January of 2010 and now, after this quarter, he is a JUNIOR! He has 4.0 in all of his classes!

This year has been so amazing for the both of us! God has blessed us with amazing friends here in Spokane, Washington. We started a Bible Study here at EWU that meets every Thursday and that has been going amazing as well. Searching what Jesus has to say about everyday life and hearing everyone's experiences and learning the truth has been such a wonderful journey for the group.

Looking forward to this summer and doing research. Being part of the McNair scholar program is going to be SO much fun and a great experience. Thanking Jesus for all of his amazing blessings and the journey He has me on.
